Protein is the hot buzz word in the food industry right now, with products from the dairy case to the cereal aisle boasting added protein claims. Consumers seem to understand the value of protein, but do they differentiate between the source of that protein?

Midan wanted to find out.  We surveyed 1,000 U.S. meat eaters to learn how they think about protein. We discovered three distinct views of protein that shape consumer attitudes about the role of meat in a healthy diet.

He uses coupons frequently.

She avoids
trans fats.

He tends to be a Millennial.
