Not so long ago, meat’s place in the world was very clear: it was the star of mealtime, firmly established on the center of the plate.
Over time, meat’s role has evolved. With increasing options for alternate sources of protein, the rise of snacking occasions and fluctuating protein prices, meat has gone from solo top billing to sharing the spotlight with other cast members.
Midan Marketing and Meatingplace teamed up to study this shift in the center of the plate, with the overarching goal of uncovering insights that could
benefit the fresh meat industry. The study, Protein and the Plate, explores the key findings.
