Account Executive

Overview

The Account Executive is responsible for managing the planning, budgeting, development, implementation and evaluation of a client’s business. The Account Executive is the “go to” person on a day-to-day basis for the client and will work closely with all Midan team members to provide marketing support to key clients and to coordinate all efforts to make certain that clients’ needs are met.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work with key clients to understand their marketing needs and develop, execute and evaluate effective marketing programs that satisfy those needs
  • Act as the primary agency contact for client, and be the source of information and programming resources for internal teams
  • Develop an “Activities Calendar” for client and manage the efficient and effective execution of those activities based on deadlines agreed upon by client and Account Executive
  • Oversee Project Managers in the development and execution of client marketing programs
  • When necessary, solicit assistance from other Agency team members (creative, communications, market research, public relations, etc.) to provide support and information to satisfy client needs. Must coordinate all activities with other Agency team members in order to ensure desired resources are available when needed
  • Coordinate subcontractor and/or outside agency personnel to retain needed services to execute programming. Includes sourcing companies, communicating program needs, soliciting bids, managing development of elements and managing the budget
  • Manage budgets and billings and provide regular management reports on all efforts for each client

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience in CPG marketing, retail or agency account management
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and writing skills; detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments
  • Must be willing to travel

Education, Training and Network:

  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree a plus) in marketing, animal science, meat science, agri-business or production
  • Food and fresh meat marketing experience; knowledge of livestock production and/or experience is beneficial to this position
