Freelance Digital Content Coordinator

Overview

The digital content coordinator is responsible for working in conjunction with the Associate Creative Director, MarTech to schedule, edit and maintain content on all content management systems associated with websites and social media platforms for Midan Marketing and its clients. Exceptional communication skills, both one-on-one and across all levels of management, are crucial.

This DCC must be able to handle multiple responsibilities and efficiently juggle a workload that will always include shifting priorities and deadlines. On a daily basis, the position requires someone that can take initiative with minimal direction, has the ability to seek out information from appropriate sources and has exceptional follow-through. Attention to detail is extremely important.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Associate Creative Director, MarTech to develop new digital marketing and social media strategies
  • Proactively grow social media communities, improve community engagement and obtain user-generated content
  • Work closely with the Associate Creative Director, MarTech to develop the annual content and editorial calendars, and ensure quality completion of owned pieces
  • Assist with implementation of SEO, SEM programs based on project objectives
  • Purchase URLs and manage URL database (including DNS management)
  • Assist with website updates as needed
  • Research, write and publish blog posts
  • Stay up-to-date on new and existing content, social media and other digital tools and trends
  • Generate website statistics and traffic information. Create quarterly reports on website and AdWords campaign performance for clients
  • Proofread client projects and check against legal standards
  • Conduct quarterly website checks for accuracy and consistency
  • Build client e-newsletters in content management system, send test emails and schedule e-newsletters for release; maintain e-newsletter website database
  • Provide support to clients, as needed
  • Provide research findings for various projects
  • Other projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years’ digital experience, preferably in an agency setting
  • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience is required
  • Solid computer and creative skills
  • Solid writing skills
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of the industry
  • Versed in SEO, SEM and Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns
  • Entrepreneurial, dynamic and charismatic
  • Be self-reliant and able to work on tasks independently
  • Creative thinker with the ability to work well autonomously as well as with a team

Education, Training and Network

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
