Market Research Analyst

Overview

The Market Research Analyst will work closely with the Sr. Research Manager. This position is responsible for supporting both quantitative and qualitative research efforts for existing and potential clients.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Works with Sr. Research Manager to understand and document study objectives, including project briefing and scheduling project work
  • Establishes research methodology and design format for data gathering, such as online surveys, bulletin boards, secondary data sources, etc.
  • Designs and assists in the development of questionnaires, moderator guides, etc.
  • Liaises with outside fieldwork and other areas (programming, statistics, etc.) to ensure successful execution of research projects
  • Programs questionnaires using Qualtrics
  • Prepares analysis and creates data tables using SPSS
  • Analyzes results and develops PowerPoint reports, including drafting of conclusions and recommendations

Qualifications

  • At least one to three years of experience in either a client or supplier side market research position or both
  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • SPSS or similar statistical software experience required
  • Experience using Qualtrics or other survey software platforms highly desirable
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple projects and priorities
  • Possess a creative approach to problem solving
  • Strong writing and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment

Education, Training and Network

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required
  • Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Experience with customer information or syndicated datasets (Nielsen, IRI, Mintel, etc.) a plus
