Senior Account Executive


The Senior Account Executive is responsible for holistic business guidance within specific client(s)/brand(s) and is expected to work with the team to proactively direct the client’s/brand’s strategic course. Most commonly aligned with one larger account, this position may also be responsible for direct management of AMT members working on same client/brand business. Coupled with this responsibility is that of assigning/managing workloads within specific client(s)/brand(s). This position is ultimately responsible for developing annual over-arching client plans of work with associated budget to then dovetail with Midan service revenue development. This position is also responsible for asking, “What if…?” to bring new ideas to client(s) and team members in order to grow client business and Midan relationship. This position is encouraged to enhance management skills through professional development as deemed appropriate.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Understand customer and consumer needs as they relate to client’s brands
  2. Work with key clients to understand their marketing needs and develop, execute and evaluate effective marketing programs that satisfy those needs
  3. Manage marketing strategy and tactics
  4. Act as the primary agency contact for assigned clients/brands, and be a liaison for information and programming with internal teams
  5. Oversee Account Executives, Jr. Account Executives and/or Account Coordinators in the development and execution of client/brands marketing programs
  6. Coordinate all activities with other Agency team members in order to ensure desired resources for client are available when needed
  7. Coordinate subcontractor and/or outside agency personnel to retain needed services to execute programming. Includes sourcing companies, communicating program needs, soliciting bids, managing development of elements and managing the budget
  8. Manage budgets and billings and provide regular management reports on all efforts for each client


  • Minimum of five years of experience in meat marketing
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and writing skills; detail-oriented
  • Ability to delegate while holding direct reports accountable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments
  • Must be willing to travel at least 25%

Education, Training and Network

  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree a plus) in marketing, animal science, meat science, agri-business or production
  • Food and fresh meat marketing experience
  • Knowledge of livestock production and/or experience is required
