Business Development & Marketing Specialist

Overview

This role will offer a challenging environment, involving tactical execution and opportunities for strategic thought. The Business & Marketing Specialist will work with analysis and market research, product and service promotion, and prospect and client engagement.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Conduct new business prospect research and identify new opportunities
  • Support Customer Insights platform
  • Gather and Analyze MAS/CRM data
  • Generate reports on new business development metrics
  • Contribute to new business development and Midan Brand collaborative efforts and organize industry conference participation
  • Coordinate with Creative Communications, MarTech and Midan Brand to generate digital and print advertising material, on an as needed basis
  • Maintain and update organized records of marketing metrics and results of past campaigns
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales forecasting reports
  • Identify areas where the Midan team can improve efficiencies and help implement tools to achieve them
  • Other projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Meat industry sales and/or marketing experience
  • Successful work experience as a marketing associate, marketing assistant, or similar position
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing and sales industry, including digital tools and techniques
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Emphasis on Excel and PPT), Prezi, web analytics, and Google AdWords
  • MAS/CRM experience is a plus
  • Past agency or media experience preferred
  • Past client and/or people management experience preferred
  • Multi-tasker
  • People person, outgoing, engaging, persuasive
  • Very organized and great communicator

Education, Training and Network

  • 1-3 years of sales/new business development/marketing/brand management experience
  • BS degree in marketing or relevant field
