Greater Omaha Packing scored the cover of The National Provisioner. The story announced the new facility expansion. GOP President Mike Drury said the effort will enable Greater Omaha Packing to expand from processing around 250,000 pounds of ground beef daily to almost 450,000 pounds of ground beef a day.

When asked what grocery meat department trend he is most excited about heading into 2023, Greater Omaha Packing President Mike Drury said, “During the pandemic, many home cooks sharpened their skills in the kitchen, and as things normalize, we are seeing the effects of that at the meat case. Consumers are recreating restaurant meals at home, increasing the retail demand for USDA Prime and premium beef offerings.”
