Our Purpose

Midan Marketing is a team of creative strategic thinkers that serves as a catalyst for growth in the meat industry. We are the only marketing firm that understands the complete channel, from the farmers who help bring calves and piglets into the world to the families who enjoy dinners created around a tender, mouth-watering entrée.

Simply put, we know marketing
and we know meat.

Midan understands your connection to meat because we share a common bond. We know your ties to livestock and the land go beyond just making a living; they’re a part of your heritage. Ours too. Midan’s principals and other team members have farming and ranching backgrounds. We’re proud that we speak the language, from genetics to processing specifications to cooking methods.

When it comes to meat, we have a passion and a drive that’s contagious. Our passion leads to a collaborative relationship that our clients easily embrace. Lively conversations with clients generate better ideas and as a result, OUR WORK shines, and work that shines engages customers and spurs them to action.

Leading The Industry

We put the full force of our creative marketing, public relations and market research services toward uncovering new ways to motivate your customers and lead the industry into exciting new territory. Think of us as expert guides who help you create a lasting connection with your customers. Only then can you meet and exceed their expectations.

Building A Trusted Partnership

As an integral part of your team, we are able to understand where you want your business to go and how to help you get there. We work hard to earn your respect and build your trust, not just for our industry knowledge and marketing skills, but for how we run our business. We remember the days when a man’s handshake was as good as his word; you can count on us to be fair, honest and straightforward in all that we do for you.

Creating An Exciting Future

The key advantage to working so long in the meat business is the gift of perspective: we understand where the meat industry has been and we have a vision for what it can become. We are in a unique position to impact the future of this industry. Working together, we will create tomorrow’s reality.

Original Research

  • A New Reality. How Consumers
are Watching their Wallets in an Uncertain Economy

The recession changed everything. This handout, provided as part of a presentation given at the International Production and Processing Expo in January, 2013, updates information on five key trends we all must pay attention to in order to capture more of the consumers’ attention and dollars at the meat case.
  • The Consumers’ Case 2012 Trend Report: “Breaking the Pattern”

Consumers are changing faster than ever. Learn about the top seven consumer trends and what they mean for the future of the meat case.
  • Once upon a protein

We took a fresh look at the meat case through the eyes of actual consumers to determine actionable approaches to meat case planograms and merchandising that make a difference in meeting customers’ needs. The study led to a research-based blueprint by which meat departments can implement solutions that create long-term customer loyalty.
  • The economy and its impact
    on meat and poultry purchases

This study is a follow-up to research conducted in 2009, and determines how consumer attitudes, behaviors and shopping habits were impacted by the economic recession in late 2009 and the beginning phases of recovery in 2010. This presentation gives retailers and packer/processors better insight into consumer shifts in store choice, shopping frequency and purchasing when shopping for meat and poultry.
  • Power of Brands

We saw an opportunity to address a lack of brand-linked data in the retail meat industry, so we conducted a first-of-its-kind research study focusing on consumer attitudes toward fresh beef, pork and chicken brands. The goal was to determine the most important elements influencing purchase.
  • Gen M Obesity

We wanted to help food industry companies address growing childhood obesity concerns across multiple channels. We developed an innovative research study to examine the role obesity plays in the lives of children aged 8 to 17 years old.
  • Holding on to your customers
    in a tough economy

Through analysis of sales data and consumer research, we were able to provide insight into changes in consumer purchase decisions regarding branded and non-branded fresh meat products at the start of the economic downturn.
